Domaine Faiveley Mercurey Vielles Vignes 2022
$62.00Add to cartAn old vine Pinot from one of Burgundy’s most reliable producers. Faiveley is one of the largest producers in Burgundy, but don’t let that make you think their wines are sub-par. They take their experience and apply it to make terroir driven expressions of all their various holdings. Mercurey is on village on the Cote Chalonnaise which takes its name from the god Mercury (God of trade). The wine is concentrated and structured, aromatic, and full of deep red berries and a bit of vanilla.

Domaine Gadais Navineaux Amphibolite Muscadet Sevre Et Maine Sur Lie 2022
$18.00Add to cartWhile it’s hard to verify, there’s legend that this vineyard in Navineaux is the first place that Melon de Bourgogne (the grape used to make Muscadet) was found. Regardless, this is a delicious example that’s zesty while still maintaining a core of citrus. The sea salt salinity and deep minerality from the Navineaux soils hold this zippy white together.

Domaine Guiberteau 2020 Saumur Blanc Breze
$145.00Add to cartOne of the most sought after producers in the Loire. The wines of Domaine Guiberteau are for those really in the know. The legendary Becky Wasserman has this to say about Guiberteau: Romain Guiberteau owns some of the best land in Brézé, and makes dry chenins of punk rock violence, yet of Bach-like logic and profoundness.
This wine from Brézé is one of the peaks of Chenin Blanc. It’s incredibly dry with ripping texture and acid. It’s like watching a linebacker dance ballet.

Domaine JL Chave Hermitage Blanc 2020

Some of Chave’s oldest vines are here and bring in beautiful grapes from Hermitage hill. This is the glory that Marsanne can bring when treated by a master. It will rival some of the great white burgundies when drank young or with 10+ years of age.

$125.00Add to cartThis is great Chablis. Still a tad young but starting to coalesce. Expect peak drinking around 2026-2035 (wow can’t believe I just wrote 2035!) Right now the minerality dominates and truncates what will certainly be a more fruit driven finish in the future.
