First round, Bordeaux brought out firm, dark fruit and a gamey richness that had me wondering—was it the wine enhancing the stew or the stew making the wine even better? Even got a little hint of pencil lead in there. 🤷‍♀️

But when I revisited the leftovers a few days later, Amarone took the win! Its sweetness paired perfectly with the now-intensified flavors of the carrots and stew. Turns out, some things (like stew and wine pairings) really do get better with time. 🍷🥘
