Chateau Bardins Pessac Leognan 2018
$54.00Add to cartA Bordeaux with soul. The Château Bardins is both supple and tense, with a velvety Merlot robe pulled snugly over a chiseled structure. It has tannins, but they aren’t mean, it’ll get even better with age. It’s a wine that ultimately is straightforward and enjoyable, but has depth of character and flavor.

Chateau Lynch-Bages Blanc de Lynch-Bages, Bordeaux, 2020
$120.00Add to cartWe came late to this and could only grab 2 bottles but the reviews for this wine are stellar across the internet. We suspect this will be gone before anyone gets a chance read this but here’s what we can tell you. 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon, 10% Muscadelle. 1990 was the first vintage this wine was produced and the 2020 is the first vintage with new equipment to more precisely control oxygen levels and temperatures. Fermented in oak (50% new) and aged on the lees for 6 months the Lynch Bages Blanc is one of the most rewarding drinking experiences in white wine.

Chateau Rieussec Sauternes 375ml 2105
$80.00Add to cartAn excellent Sauternes estate that overdelivers at its price point. Acquired by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in 1984, they have steadily been developing a larger and larger following. In 2004 they were declared wine of the year by Wine Spectator. We love this bottle and it will be delicious today, tomorrow, and decades from now (if you can keep yourself from drinking it that long).

Chateau Talbot Saint Julien 2010

Chateau Talbot Saint Julien 2020
$99.00Add to cartChateau Talbot is a 4th Cru Classé in Saint-Julien and is one of the Médoc’s most emblematic names. It’s one of the Medoc’s oldest estates, and through the years has been fortunate enough to remain in good hands. The current owners are the fourth generation of the same family managing Talbot.
The soils are well raised and gravelly producing classic Bordeaux aromas all in a balanced package. It’s lively and framed by a sensational texture and a lingering finish. Aromas of plum confit, crème de cassis, tobacco, licorice, and roasted herbs mingle with a woody, charcuterie-like savory note that will only deepen with age.

$17.00Add to cart100% merlot made from 30 year old vines farmed at Europe’s highest level of sustainability. Aged in concrete vats. A really great way to learn what merlot should taste like.
This is a fresh take on Bordeaux – has all of the dark fruit you want out of Merlot and a touch of spice, without being overly oaked or tannic. Supple enough to drink on its own or to cut through fatty meats at the table. Definitely over delivers for the price point! – Ben

L’Etoile Lalande de Pomerol 2019

La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou Saint Julien 2019
$90.00Add to cartThis is the Medoc’s smallest village, and while it has no first growths it has the highest amount of classified estates in the Medoc. The gravels are less deep that Pauillac so are less hefty but still grace. This expression is from one of the oldest estates and has all the delightful notes of the region: cedar, violets, graphite and will definitely benefit from some aging, so this 2015 is just entering its ideal drinking window.
