Castello dei Rampola d’Alceo Toscana IGT 2019
$199.00Add to cartThis wine is a synthesis of the Rampolla family’s ideas about wine. It’s weighty, but still remains graceful. Classically styled but with a piercing minerality that lifts the deep, dark fruit. Some critics go as far as to call it transcendent giving it huge scores (97 Points, Vinous; 96 Points James Suckling; 98 Points, Wine Advocate).

Celler Pinol L’Avi Arrufi Blanc 2021
$58.00Add to cartPiñol makes very cool wines. They have a deep respect for ancient vines from cherished vineyards and a balanced but minimalist approach to winemaking in Terra Alta, one of the most exciting emerging regions of Spanish wine. This wine is 100% Garnacha Blanca, honoring the ancestral home of the grape. This wine is incredibly small in production coming from a single vineyard wiht 60+ year old vines; they only produce 300 cases each year. It’s vibrant with mineral driven citrus and orchard fruit offset by honeysuckle, ginger, and quinine. A touch of bitterness on the palate plays alongside the smoky minerality before a long finish with lingering white flowers. Pair with risottos, fatty fish, or white meats.
-
Celler Pinol Mather Teresina 2019
$86.00Add to cartPiñol makes very cool wines. They have a deep respect for ancient vines from cherished vineyards and a balanced but minimalist approach to winemaking in Terra Alta, one of the most exciting emerging regions of Spanish wine. The Mather Teresita is extra special and features a bit of Morenillo, which is a native grape to the area (think Mediterranean Pinot Noir) and is only sold by the Piñol family. It’s opulent with explosive dark berry aromas, cherry compote, and licorice that begin an aromatic journey into a touch of Madagascar vanilla that shows as the wine opens up. It’s plush, spiced, and candied in the best way possible

Chateau d’Yquem 2009, 375ml
$500.00Add to cartWhat can we say about d’Yquem that we haven’t said before? Will and David think it’s the best wine on earth. It has largesse on the palate and a finish that lasts forever. This is the kind of wine you open and can smell it across the room and it’s the best. Pair with almost anything: foie gras, blue cheese, or even something more unconventional like sushi or Thai food.

Buy to enjoy now or store for your great grand children. If you do want to enjoy it make sure you have some blue cheese or foie gras on hand to pair.
-
Chateau de Chaintres Saumur Champigny Vieilles Vignes 2020
$31.00Add to cartWe love the Loire, it’s the garden of France, and the wines almost across the board retain a beautiful earthiness. While the Tigny family has owned this 17th century chateau since the 1930s it was the addition of cellar master Jean-Philippe Louis that they really stepped up their game, converting the estate to biodynamics, hand picking, and allowing for spontaneous fermentation.
The vines that plunge the deepest into the tuffeau soils of the vineyards range from 50 to 80 years of age. Despite the concentration and structure a sense of freshness permeates this wine—making it “très digeste”. Graceful tannins and an assertive underlying minerality contribute a salty-savory edge to the fruit.
-
Chateau de la Bonneliere Chinon Les Lisons 2023
$23.00Add to cartFor two generations the Plouzeaus have been working to restore the Château de la Bonneliére and its vines to their original glory. The son, Marc, converted the vineyards to fully organic.
The grapes for this wine come from vines that grow on an ancient riverbed and lend a distinct mineral quality to it.
-
Chateau Doisy Vedrines Sauternes 2020 375ml
$44.00Add to cartWe can wax poetic about Sauternes all day. These naturally sweet beauties are the perfect way to round out a delicious meal or offset a smoky, fatty dish mid meal. The contrast of the sweet and smoky unctuous-ness is one of life’s little joys.

-
Chateau Haut-Brion Pessac-Leognan La Clarte De Haut-Brion Blanc 2020
$222.00Add to cartLa Clarté de Haut-Brion boasts a legendary and unique kinship: made from grapes grown on the Haut-Brion terroir, it is born of two prestigious estates: Château Haut-Brion and Château La Mission Haut-Brion. The wine is concentrated, with delicate white flowers and lemon on the nose. It develops on the palate but the lemon is a through line that plays out in the long finish.

Chateau Talbot Saint Julien 2020
$99.00Add to cartChateau Talbot is a 4th Cru Classé in Saint-Julien and is one of the Médoc’s most emblematic names. It’s one of the Medoc’s oldest estates, and through the years has been fortunate enough to remain in good hands. The current owners are the fourth generation of the same family managing Talbot.
The soils are well raised and gravelly producing classic Bordeaux aromas all in a balanced package. It’s lively and framed by a sensational texture and a lingering finish. Aromas of plum confit, crème de cassis, tobacco, licorice, and roasted herbs mingle with a woody, charcuterie-like savory note that will only deepen with age.
