4 Monos Viticultores Vinos De La Sierra De Gredos GR 10 Tinto 2021 1.5L
4 Monos, which translates to 4 Monkeys, is...
4 Monos, which translates to 4 Monkeys, is a team of four friends who met while hiking in the Gredos mountains, one of the most profound interesting terroirs to emerge in recent years as we explore the more modern expressions of Spanish wine. An hour outside of Madrid, the Sierra de Gredos range has high elevation vineyards that are a collision of Mediterranean and Alpine influences. The organic grapes that go into the GR-10 are treated minimally, with a light hand in the cellar, resulting in a wine that’s affordable but still highly representative of the Sierra de Gredos terroir. It’s juicy, fruit forward, but still has an earthy complexity, and being in Magnum it’s easy to bring to a party.

Andrew Will Ciel Du Cheval 2017

In View From the Cellar # 47 wine-writing legend John Gilman wrote this incredible bit of praise about Andrew Will:
“Since day one, this has always been a working winery […], just outstanding winemaking year in and year out, and a single-mindedness to produce superb, age-worthy wines from some of Washington’s finest vineyards sites. [Ciel du Cheval supplies his] superb, claret-styled reds that must be ranked at the very summit of Washington state wines and amongst the very finest wines to be found from anywhere in America.”
50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc and aged for 18 months in 35% new French Oak before aging in bottle for an additional 12 months.

Andria Gvino Kakheti Tako 2022
A continuation of George’s traditional app...
A continuation of George’s traditional approach to honoring their ancient legacy, this cuvée is made with 100% Kisi, a rare white grape indigenous to the region, produced from 45-year-old vines grown on Cinnamonic soil. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and fermented with 5% skin contact for five days before being aged in Qvevri for three months. The finished wine is unfiltered, unfined, and with zero sulfur added. This Kisi expression can be heralded as a cornerstone example of zero-zero winemaking. First impressions of this wine on the nose unveil a delicate bouquet of florals. On the palate, however, is when we catch a glimpse (or taste, rather) of the complexity of this wine. It oscillates between dried apricot, tart lemon curd, and honeysuckle nectar. This wine is finely balanced, with a gentle, coaxing acidity, smooth tannins, and a finish that invites a clearer understanding of this wine’s nod to the past. – Ella

Azores Arinto Dos Acores Blanco 2022
This is a fascinating wine that comes from...
This is a fascinating wine that comes from the far flung Azore islands in the middle of the Atlantic. hailing from Pico island from about 200 acres of very low-yield vineyards surrounded by small walls, locally known as currias, growing in pure volcanic basalt with no top soils. It’s cold and we and the vines struggle for sunlight between the unforgiving wind and driving rain. The fact that this wine exists is a bit of a miracle. This wine is made with 100% Arinto dos Açores and is a unique varietal that has adapted to the harsh conditions and expresses an incredible mineral depth girded by salinity that farm the bright grapefruit and underripe stone fruit flavors.
