Chateau Pradeaux Bandol Rose 2023
$35.00Add to cartA Provençal estate that has been in the hands of the Portalis family since before the French Revolution. Today the estate is worked organically, and sheep graze between the vines for a large part of the year. Their reds are brooding Mourvedres but the rosé is a more balanced blend of Mourvedre and Cinsault. Fermented in concrete, the resulting wine is one of the richest rosés around that is dry with a full body and a rich floral nose.

-
Clos Cibonne Cuvee Tradition Tibouren 2022
$54.00Add to cartThis is a special Provençal rose from one of the most venerable producers featuring the little known Tibouren grape as the star. And it’s not only unique, it’s delicious. The organic Tibouren comes from vineyards close to the sea in the shadow of the Maures mountains which provide a great backing corridor for wind to keep the grapes healthy. The wine is made in stainless like most rosés but it spends a year in oak foudres aging on the lees under a thin layer of flor which imparts both flavor and texture.
-
Domaine Gavoty Recital de Provence Rose 2022
$21.00Add to cartSurrounded by oak and pine forests and bordered by the Issole, Domaine Gavoty is a polycultural farm encompassing over 200 acres, and the family has worked the land without synthetic chemicals for decades, recently obtaining organic certification. The rosés they produce is the antithesis of modern Provençal rosé that is made to glug down as fast as possible. The “Récital” delivers a beautiful color, salinity, and bright fruits but with notable texture and panache. A standout from a producer who does things their own way.
