Kir-Yianni Amyndeon Xinomavro L’Esprit Du Lac Vieilles Vignes 2024
$25.00Add to cartThe northern expanses of Greece are home to one of the most delicious and overlooked red grapes in the wine world: Xinomavro (pronounced she-no-mauve-rho), which is famously deep, dark, and highly structured. The grapes have high acidity, and wines made with them can traditionally age for quite a while.
This rosé is an incredibly fun take from Kir-Yianni, a fantastic producer in the north close to the country of North Macedonia. The Xinomavro in L’Esprit du Lac Rosé comes from vines on the shores of Lake Vegoritida. The nose starts with floral aromas and reveals layers of apricot, white peach, wild strawberry, and subtle herbal notes. The same fine complexity rolls into the mouthfeel that balances crispness offset by a delicate touch of tannins.

La Rivolta Fiano 2022
$28.00Add to cartIn antiquity, the Fiano grape was known as apiana, as its sweet berries were attractive to bees. Vines were traditionally found near hazelnut orchards, which has seemingly influenced the grape’s flavor profile. However, it is in the town of Avellino where the Fiano grape produces its most mineral-driven wines with long aging potential.
The Cotroneo family has embraced a sustainable approach to viticulture, and the beautiful organic vineyards of Fattoria La Rivolta are nestled among the picturesque and mountainous landscapes of Campania’s Taburno DOC. The wines they produce are delicious.
This is a beautifully delicate wine, with hints of fresh fruit, almond, hazelnut, citrus fruits, herbs, white flowers, and dried flowers. On the palate, this is a full-bodied wine with light fruit and floral notes.

The grapes were picked to maximize freshness and tension in the finished wine. Whole cluster pressed, settled in tank for 24 hours on average, barrel fermented in a combination of 22% new, 600 liter puncheons and 78% old French oak barriques from diverse coopers and left to age for 11 months. Full malolactic fermentation completed in each vessel and then the wines were put back in tank with their lees for five months prior to bottling.

Lioco Mendocino County Pinot Noir 2022
$32.00Add to cartPinot Noir loves a cool climate, so the strong influence of the cold Pacific air is the perfect place to grow this grape. The vintage was difficult for growers, meaning that the fruit that did make it to the winemakers was concentrated and expressive—perfect for Pinot lovers. Blending fruit from four sites around the county allowed Lioco to produce a gorgeously balanced wine that takes the best characteristics from each of their sites to produce a wine that tastes like Northern California: brambly coastal berries (cherry, black raspberry), pine resin, dried tobacco, iron, salinity, and blue florals.
