Clement et Florian Berthier Coteaux du Giennois Sauvignon Blanc 2023
$27.00Add to cartFirst and foremost the Berthiers are terroir-driven winemakers. While they make plenty of Sauvignon Blanc, their focus is not on producing easy SB, but on producing wines that transparently show where they are from. Luckily, with that kind of focus they end up producing incredible Sauvignon Blanc that is, in fact, terroir driven.

Clos La Coutale Cahors 2022 375ml
$12.00Add to cartClos la Coutale, predominantly Malbec with a touch of Merlot, epitomizes the character of Cahors wines—inky, silky, and subtle. Dark, brambly fruit mingles with a pleasant vegetal presence. This wine is compact and ample, showcasing soft, low-lying tannins that make it an ideal companion for a rib roast.
-
Clos Mogador Priorat Tinto 2020
$144.00Add to cartThe estate of Clos Mogador is a must try for anyone interested in learning about Spanish wine. From the heart of Priorat René Barbier creates this heady Garnacha-dominant blend. It has structure, power, and elegance, but for all that retains finesse—even in old age. Drink now or lay down for 10+ years.
-
Clos Rougeard Saumur Champigny 2018
$270.00Add to cartThis is one of the most highly sought after bottles from France, but it’s not from the places you’d expect. Forget Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Champagne and head straight to the Loire for this epic (and ageworthy) expression of Cabernet Franc.
-
Cosimo Taurino Notarpanaro Rosso 2013
$25.00Add to cartThis wine is an easy recommendation and hopped right out the gates as a staff favorite (especially for Will) showing that no matter the price point you can find wines with depth and soul.
Hailing from Lecce in Puglia (the heel of the Italian boot) where most wine is made in bulk to be drunk out of a jug comes a wine that’s rustic and earthy while still being classic and elegant. This is Grand Cru Puglia, a diamond in the rough?
Cosimo Taurino takes his wines seriously, holding them back for years to tame the tannins and allow them to harmonize in the bottle. This current release is a 2012!
-
Coutale Clos La Cahors 2022
$23.00Add to cartThis is not the Malbec you probably know. You may not know that until it was popularized by the Argentinians, no one really knew the grape, and in fact most of the vines in Cahors, France were being ripped out. But as its international fame grew a few producers took a look at what they had and decided they could sell make wine with these grapes. We are thankful because this is a delicious, earthier expression that we really enjoy.
-
D Ventura Vina Do Burato Ribeira Sacra Mencia 2023
$28.00Add to cartFrom a producer who practices organic farming and preaches simplicity, this predominantly Mencia blend is just gorgeous. Earthy, chalky red fruits work harmoniously with schisty, stoney tones redolent of petrichor. Tremendously complex and undeniably delicious, we love this with Iberico ham, a sharp Manchego, or even beer-battered cod.
-
Daniel-Etienne Defaix Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons 2010
$96.00Add to cartThis is a fascinating wine. Most people’s conception of Chablis is that it should be drunk young, preferably with oysters, but this wine provides an aged counter-point. It has a nutty and almost sherry-like nose that you would think is prematurely oxidized, but the palate is so fresh it’s like sucking on an electric lemon.
-
Daniel-Etienne Defaix Chablis Vielles Vignes 2021
$51.00Add to cartThis Chablis is a delight to drink. It’s everything we like in a young Chablis: crisp, elegant, textured, and possessing a hidden, stony depth that teases itself out across your palate. These wines can age if you have the patience and fortitude to not drink them.
-
De Bartoli Zibibbo IGT Terre Siciliane Integer 2022
$58.00Add to cartWe are “wholly” impressed with Interger. This eclectic wine, made from 100% Zibbibo, is the epitome of minimal intervention & one of the nerdiest bottlings out there. Ripe white fruit, lardon, caramelized pear, baking spice & candied grapefruit culminate in an ethereal finish. A no-brainer with cacio e pepe, pasta carbonara or tonkotsu ramen
-
DeForville Nebbiolo d’Alba 2022
$27.00Add to cartThis wine is definitely a store favorite! A great entry level Nebbiolo that is perfect for pairing with dinner.
-
Dolores Cabrera Fernández, Valle de la Orotava La Araucaria Rosado 2023
$29.00Add to cartWe love the wines of Dolores Cabrera who focuses on Listán (Blanco and Negro) across Tenerife. She loves 100+ year old vines, and while her husband Pedro helps in the cellar she employs a team of women to pick because she believes they are more deft at picking grapes during harvest. The soils in the la Orotava are a mix of volcanic and clay. There’s a distinct earthiness and crunch texture to the wines. The Listan Negro Rosado (rosé) is absolutely vibrant and our favorite of her wines. It’s got rich red berry fruit but also a deep spiced cherry core that’s helped along by salinity, smoke, and earthiness.
-
Domaine Alain Voge Saint-Joseph Les Cotes 2021
$65.00Add to cartAlain is a legend in the Rhône. He rewrote the rule book on what great wines from southern France could be. Today led Alberic Mazoyer (who worked for Chapoutier) who still makes incredibly dense and layered wines using organic and biodynamic viticulture. This wine comes from a steep parcel of land in Mauves that has produced a delicious Syrah that has all the layers of fruit, spice, and flowers you could want.

Domaine Alary l’Estevenas Cairanne 2022
$38.00Add to cartA very cool family run domaine with centuries of history. The Alary’s have actually been in the shop to pour, and we loved getting to meet them. Their organically made wines are delicious and really out drink their price point.

Domaine Alary L’Estevenas Cairanne Blanc 2022
$23.00Add to cartA very cool family run domaine with centuries of history. The Alary’s have actually been in the shop to pour, and we loved getting to meet them. Their organically made wines are delicious and really out drink their price point. This blend of Clairette and Roussanne is very expressive with a beautiful complexity, ripe white fruit such as (peaches, mirabelle plums) and delicate fragrance of white flowers such as acacia and lime appear as well as minerality.

Domaine Boris Champy Hautes Cotes du Beaune Montagne 382 2021

Domaine de la Chapelle Des Bois Fleurie 2021
$23.00Add to cartFrom the heart of Beaujolais comes a delightful gamay. In the vineyards they the principles of lutte raisonnée and minimal intervention in the cellar—spontaneous fermentation, semi-carbonic maceration in cement vats, and aging in 50-year-old wooden casks—produced Beaujolais of vivid fruit, terrific freshness, and structure enough to develop well in bottle. The resulting wine has a vibrant expression of fresh red fruits, delicate tannins, and is very welcoming.

Since 1948 the Vinet family has been producing excellent wines and forty years ago they were on the forefront of exporting Muscadet to the American market. Since then they have only refined the delicious example of Melon de Bourgogne. These wines are excellent value and while they feel light and mineral they can actually be aged, but good luck not drinking it in the meantime!

Domaine Guiberteau 2020 Saumur Blanc Breze
$145.00Add to cartOne of the most sought after producers in the Loire. The wines of Domaine Guiberteau are for those really in the know. The legendary Becky Wasserman has this to say about Guiberteau: Romain Guiberteau owns some of the best land in Brézé, and makes dry chenins of punk rock violence, yet of Bach-like logic and profoundness.
This wine from Brézé is one of the peaks of Chenin Blanc. It’s incredibly dry with ripping texture and acid. It’s like watching a linebacker dance ballet.
