Juan Francisco Farina Los Loros Listan Blanco 2022
$41.00Add to cartThis interesting wine comes from the Valle de Güímar, a small DO on the eastern coast of Tenerife. The area is particularly know for white wines made with Listan Blanco grapes that are lifted by the trade winds blowing off the Atlantic, keeping temperatures low. His small operation makes very interesting expressions—this wine, for example, spends time under flor and develops similarities to a sherry while maintaining its volcanic, earthy freshness. Absolutely fascinating, absolutely delicious. (If you are looking for crisp, easily accessible Listan we’d recommend looking elsewhere as this is a delightful, but full bodied complex, pensive Listan.)

La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Rioja Reserva 2017
$54.00Add to cartRioja Alta has a slightly different vibe than the vineyards further down the slopes at lower elevation. The winds keep things a little fresher so the expression will be lighter and have a bit more acidity.

Lagar de Pintos Rias Baixas Albarino 2023
$45.00Add to cartThis 4th generation, organic Albariño specialist is one of our favorite new discoveries and produces delicious, elegant sea and granite influence wines. This expression is seven blended Albariño plots that are vinified separately and aged on the lees with weekly batonnage. The resulting win is beautifully textured and aromatic with an explosive nose of juicy Meyer lemon, zest, and white flowers framed by sea salt. Over a glass or two it will open into more expressive white peaches, juicy apples, and herbs all set over the granitic mineral core.

Licia Albarino 2023
$22.00Add to cartWe absolutely love this wine. An Albariño from Rias Baixas, the northwestern-most part of Spain, the Licia is crisp and precise and tastes of the decomposed granite that comprises the soils in the region.

Nordes Gin 700ml
$50.00Add to cartDespite what you might think, the Spanish drink more Gin per capita than any other location on earth—primarily in Gin and Tonics which are served in huge, aroma enhancing glasses. Nordes is one of the best gins for that purpose. This Galician gin has eleven botanicals that are all macerated and distilled separately, one of the most impactful and interesting is Salicornia (a native sea vegetable that lends salinity and mineral maritime flavors. Overall the gin is fresh, fruity, and citrusy from lemon verbena and Albariño which is used to make the base distillate, but the palate has a bit more spice and a subtle touch of juniper. Absolutely delicious.

Raventos i Blanc Conca Del Riu Anoia Blanc de Blancs 2021
$28.00Add to cartA serious sparkling wine from serious winemakers. The famity behind this wine cared so much about their product they left the Cava DO because it wasn’t stringent enough and had people looking down on the serious wines they make (even if they do still sell them at a lower price point). This is a great option for parties and a day of entertaining.

Tresmano TM Ribera del Duero 2016
$204.00Add to cartWe helped to debut Tresmano in the US, which comes from a storied winemaking team on the Golden Mile of Ribera del Duero. To say we’re excited to share these elegant Tempranillos is an understatement. Just remember that you heard it here first!
TM stands for Tresmano mejor, meaning “the best Tresmano.” Coming from the two oldest vineyard sites (80 and 100 years old) and only produced in exceptional years. Depth, balance, intense ageability.

Valdespino Fino Inocente Sherry 375ml
$19.00Add to cartThis is a great value for terroir-driven Sherry. This single vineyard Fino is aged for eight years under flor in American oak and comes out incredibly aromatic with a big dose of yeasty almonds and sea salt. The rich acidity keeps your mouth watering. It’s the kind of sherry you’ll wish was in a bigger bottle.

$34.00Add to cartLa Rioja Alta’s entry-level, youthful “Crianza” dazzles at this price point. A versatile bottle at the table—think paella, arrabbiata or a hearty potato stew.

Vitícola Sileo, Montsant Sileo 2022
$27.00Add to cartIt’s often easy to overlook Montsant for the more well known Priorat, but we think that’s a mistake. The ring of hills that surround Priorat produce more subtle, elegant Grenaches that we can’t get enough of. We love Montsant because the elevation not only leaves the grapes with a notably higher acidity but with a freshness that comes from air moving around the hills as opposed to the valley floor. The Sileo (Latin for to be quiet) is a meditation on excellent and affordable Grenache from the family behind AT Roca and Anima Mundi who source organic grapes from calcareous soils. The wine is grippy with beautiful, lifted strawberry rhubarb pie that’s framed by flint. Delightful, expressive, and very fun.
