With fruit coming from the Muncagota vineyard (the same site that current vintages use with a historic name), it’s the perfect window into the excellent flavors, not to mention value, of vintage Italian wines. Flavors like leather, tea, charcuterie, balsamic glazed strawberries, deep forest berries, and smoke all mingle over a backbone of rich acidity and melting tannins. A gorgeous and complex vintage wine that is absolutely worth exploring.
