In 1863 Giacinto Brovia founded the Brovia estate in the village of Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo district. The family has been continually engaged in the growing of grapes and the production of wine since that time. Today they are practicing organic but still working in a very classic style.

A Barbaresco producer who for a long time couldn’t make Barolo due to the regulations—so this is a relatively forward drinking Barolo that doesn’t need decades and decades to open up. It’s in the perfect place right now.

Azienda Agricola Ioppa was established in 1852 on the banks of the Sesia River. The stunning view of Mount Rosa makes it impossible to forget that the Alps play a major role in this unique region. The wines are made traditionally with long maceration, light extraction, and are aged in a large cask which results in an expression that has the fully captured the floral side of Nebbiolo.

An elegant expression of Nebbiolo from a dedicated producer with an incredible capacity to age. It’s vibrant and complex in every way you a wine like this to be, and it retains all of that even after decades in the cellar. 

What could be better than 3 liters of excellent Barolo from an excellent producer in the perfect drinking window? We say almost nothing.
