Sandrone Barolo Le Vigne 2018
$150.00Add to cartA legendary name in Barolo that was borne out of dedication to craft, not inherited vineyards. Luciano Sandrone was the son of a carpenter who grew from a small plot in Cannubi to one of the most respected names in the region. He innovated while retaining classic elements threading the needle between modern and traditional during the Parker days. This 2018 Le Vigne is a wine to set in your cellar and forget about for the next decade.

Suore Cistercensi Benedic Lazio Rosso 2023
$36.00Add to cartOrganic wine is one thing, but organic wine made with very minimal intervention by nuns? It’s enough to cause a sensation. Ninety minutes north of Rome, 80 Cistercian nuns farm ten acres of vines entirely organically. With some consultation from the Bea family, the nuns have turned out some wines that are just like they are. The spartan landscape (and cellar) are energetic and full of warm spirit.

Vietti Barolo Villero Riserva 2016
$650.00Add to cartThis is the highest level of wine from Vietti and is an absolute crusher that can be opened and enjoyed now or age for another generation. The grapes are sourced from the Villero vineyard, one of the most significant vineyards of the entire Barolo area, in Castiglione Falletto. The grapes are gently harvested, pressed and fermented for around four months in steel with regular pump over including maceration that involved the traditional submerged cap method. Malolactic conversion takes place in wood and it ages for 30 months in large oak casks. The nose is full, complex and elegant. Notes of intense red fruit and plum with complex herbal underbrush dominate the nose while the palate is balanced, silky, and all-enveloping. The tannin is present and well-integrated with a long finish. Open a few hours before serving.

$37.00Add to cart“Perbacco” boasts fruit from some of the most renowned Grand Cru vineyards throughout Barolo and Barbaresco. The lineage is there; the price is not. A spicy, balanced & juicy Nebbiolo with a vein of mint, camphor & smoke. The tannins are robust yet enjoyable. “Good Heavens!” What a wine!

Vietti Barolo Brunate 2020
$265.00Add to cart -
Vietti Barolo Rocche di Castiglione 2020
$269.00Add to cartThe grapes for the Roche di Castiglione come from one of the oldest vineyards in the entire Barolo region: Rocche di Castiglione Falletto. The vines in this vineyard were planted in 1940, 1950 and 1968. The grapes are pressed into stainless where they rest for three weeks before being moved into wood for malolactic and 30 months of aging in barrel. The nose of this beautiful wine is complex and elegant. More lifted and less brooding than the Brunate with notes of mandarin, ripe red fruit and rose petal, accompanied by a hint of chamomile. It is fresh, balanced, silky, enveloping and full-bodied on the palate. The tannins are prominent but well-integrated with a long and persistent finish. Decant for a few hours before serving.
