Gai’a Agiorgitiko 2022
$28.00Add to cartThis red wine comes from Nemea on the Peloponnesian peninsula and is made with the Agiorgitiko (pronounced aye-yor-yes-tee-ko) grape. This is the most planted red grape in Greece and is the only grape planted in Nemea.
The grape has a tendency to grow too vigorously, so the vineyard managers at the excellent Gai’a winery work all season long to keep the vines cropped on these mountain foothills vineyards. The result is a fresh and solid red that is gusty, spicy, and a bit plummy.

Kir-Yianni Amyndeon Xinomavro L’Esprit Du Lac Vieilles Vignes 2023
$25.00Add to cartThe northern expanses of Greece are home to one of the most delicious and overlooked red grapes in the wine world: Xinomavro (pronounced she-no-mauve-rho), which is famously deep, dark, and highly structured. The grapes have high acidity, and wines made with them can traditionally age for quite a while.
This rosé is an incredibly fun take from Kir-Yianni, a fantastic producer in the north close to the country of North Macedonia. The Xinomavro in L’Esprit du Lac Rosé comes from vines on the shores of Lake Vegoritida. The nose starts with floral aromas and reveals layers of apricot, white peach, wild strawberry, and subtle herbal notes. The same fine complexity rolls into the mouthfeel that balances crispness offset by a delicate touch of tannins.

Metaxa Ouzo 750ml
