The Valle d’Aosta is at the tippy top corner of Italy along the French border and boast some of the highest mountain peaks in the Alpine range. The warm mountain days and cool nights preserve acidity and the sandy granite soils make the grapes struggle, developing character. The wine has a mineral streak but is like tasting the blossoms in the sunny fields with electric citrus fruit.
