A spirit that has become harder and harder to find after the monks who make it decided to pray more and make less. Regardless of how much there is, it is a perennial favorite.

Created in 1840, this yellow liqueur is inspired by the Elixir Végétal recipe and it was so popular that Father Garnier (responsible for liqueurs at the time) decided to officially name it Chartreuse Jaune.

This Chartreuse Jaune is sweet, spicy, and gets its natural color from 130 plants, flowers, bark, roots and spices.

The botanicals are ground by the monks in the plant room at the Grande Chartreuse monastery before it is distilled for the aroma. The Chartreuse then ages for a long time in oak casks before being bottled, and continues to evolve and develop its complexity in the bottle.
