Ca’ Lojera Lugana 2023
$30.00Add to cartCa’Lojera translates from the local dialect to “House of the Wolf” and is the family seat of the vignerons. It’s those symbols that decorate the etiquette of the bottle and give it its name. We think it’s delicious and interesting. The perfect wine to take to a party with some other wine lovers. There’s a bit of red fruit nuance that adds a totally unique element to this white wine.

Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino 2019
$109.00Add to cartThis is a great entry into the 2019 vintage that can be enjoyed now, but will also be great laid down for a few years. It has the heft that some seek, but there’s plenty of nuance that comes from their deft balance between the wildness of the grapes and the slickness of the cellar hand.
-
Castelfeder Kerner Lahn
$29.00Add to cartHeading into Alto Adige (the far northern, semi-autonomous region of Italy that borders Austria) is like stepping into German wine country. The grapes for this Kerner grow at an altitude of almost 900m above sea level in one of the highest vineyards in South Tyrol. This German grape is a cross between Trollinger and Riesling and is named after the Swabian poet Justinus Kerner. It’s got great acidity, a vibrant freshness, and rich lemon, peach, and mango flavors.

$40.00Add to cartA great value wine from a 5th generation Spanish producer. A real delight.
-
Celler Pinol L’Avi Arrufi Blanc 2021
$58.00Add to cartPiñol makes very cool wines. They have a deep respect for ancient vines from cherished vineyards and a balanced but minimalist approach to winemaking in Terra Alta, one of the most exciting emerging regions of Spanish wine. This wine is 100% Garnacha Blanca, honoring the ancestral home of the grape. This wine is incredibly small in production coming from a single vineyard wiht 60+ year old vines; they only produce 300 cases each year. It’s vibrant with mineral driven citrus and orchard fruit offset by honeysuckle, ginger, and quinine. A touch of bitterness on the palate plays alongside the smoky minerality before a long finish with lingering white flowers. Pair with risottos, fatty fish, or white meats.
