Rose Wine - Spain

We love the wines of Dolores Cabrera who focuses on Listán (Blanco and Negro) across Tenerife. She loves 100+ year old vines, and while her husband Pedro helps in the cellar she employs a team of women to pick because she believes they are more deft at picking grapes during harvest. The soils in the la Orotava are a mix of volcanic and clay. There’s a distinct earthiness and crunch texture to the wines. The Listan Negro Rosado (rosé) is absolutely vibrant and our favorite of her wines. It’s got rich red berry fruit but also a deep spiced cherry core that’s helped along by salinity, smoke, and earthiness.
