Chateau Haut-Segottes Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2021
$45.00Add to cartMme. Meunier, “vigneronne extraordinaire”, is the fourth generation of her family to oversee this estate situated in the heart of the Saint Emilion appellation. Her dedication to her vineyards enables Madame Meunier’s Haut Ségottes to produce exceptional quality year-in and year-out.
-
Chateau Pradeaux Bandol Rose 2024
$35.00Add to cartA Provençal estate that has been in the hands of the Portalis family since before the French Revolution. Today the estate is worked organically, and sheep graze between the vines for a large part of the year. Their reds are brooding Mourvedres but the rosé is a more balanced blend of Mourvedre and Cinsault. Fermented in concrete, the resulting wine is one of the richest rosés around that is dry with a full body and a rich floral nose.

Clement et Florian Berthier Coteaux du Giennois Rouge 2022
$28.00Add to cartFirst and foremost the fifth-generation Loire winemakers Clement and Florian Berthier are terroir-driven preducers. While they make plenty of Sauvignon Blanc, their focus is not on producing easy SB, but on producing wines that transparently show where they are from. While 80% of their production is white wine the do produce this beautiful blend of Pinot and Gamay that is juicy and fresh. It has rich that are complemented by floral and earthy undertones. There’s a bit of spice inflection from the terroir that sits on a well of deep minerality.

Clos Mogador Priorat Tinto 2020
$144.00Add to cartThe estate of Clos Mogador is a must try for anyone interested in learning about Spanish wine. From the heart of Priorat René Barbier creates this heady Garnacha-dominant blend. It has structure, power, and elegance, but for all that retains finesse—even in old age. Drink now or lay down for 10+ years.
-
Common Weath Crush Co. Libertango 2023
$35.00Add to cartAn incredibly fun wine from one of the coolest collectives in the country: Virginia’s Common Wealth Crush. From former NYC somm Lee Campbell and partner Lee Jordan comes a beautifully bubbly red perfect for crushing with food. Like Lambrusco it’s incredibly food friendly, but unlike Lambrusco it’s made with the Virginia grape Tannat. It’s muscular but still bouncy and lightened with 12% Albariño and 9% Petit Manseng. What a fun thing to explore.

Cosimo Taurino Notarpanaro Rosso 2013
$25.00Add to cartThis wine is an easy recommendation and hopped right out the gates as a staff favorite (especially for Will) showing that no matter the price point you can find wines with depth and soul.
Hailing from Lecce in Puglia (the heel of the Italian boot) where most wine is made in bulk to be drunk out of a jug comes a wine that’s rustic and earthy while still being classic and elegant. This is Grand Cru Puglia, a diamond in the rough?
Cosimo Taurino takes his wines seriously, holding them back for years to tame the tannins and allow them to harmonize in the bottle. This current release is a 2012!

Coutale Clos La Cahors 2022
$23.00Add to cartThis is not the Malbec you probably know. You may not know that until it was popularized by the Argentinians, no one really knew the grape, and in fact most of the vines in Cahors, France were being ripped out. But as its international fame grew a few producers took a look at what they had and decided they could sell make wine with these grapes. We are thankful because this is a delicious, earthier expression that we really enjoy.

De Bartoli Zibibbo IGT Terre Siciliane Integer 2022
$58.00Add to cartWe are “wholly” impressed with Interger. This eclectic wine, made from 100% Zibbibo, is the epitome of minimal intervention & one of the nerdiest bottlings out there. Ripe white fruit, lardon, caramelized pear, baking spice & candied grapefruit culminate in an ethereal finish. A no-brainer with cacio e pepe, pasta carbonara or tonkotsu ramen

Dolores Cabrera Fernández, Valle de la Orotava La Araucaria Rosado 2023
$29.00Add to cartWe love the wines of Dolores Cabrera who focuses on Listán (Blanco and Negro) across Tenerife. She loves 100+ year old vines, and while her husband Pedro helps in the cellar she employs a team of women to pick because she believes they are more deft at picking grapes during harvest. The soils in the la Orotava are a mix of volcanic and clay. There’s a distinct earthiness and crunch texture to the wines. The Listan Negro Rosado (rosé) is absolutely vibrant and our favorite of her wines. It’s got rich red berry fruit but also a deep spiced cherry core that’s helped along by salinity, smoke, and earthiness.
-
Domaine Alary L’Estevenas Cairanne Blanc 2023
$23.00Add to cartA very cool family run domaine with centuries of history. The Alary’s have actually been in the shop to pour, and we loved getting to meet them. Their organically made wines are delicious and really out drink their price point. This blend of Clairette and Roussanne is very expressive with a beautiful complexity, ripe white fruit such as (peaches, mirabelle plums) and delicate fragrance of white flowers such as acacia and lime appear as well as minerality.

Domaine de la Chapelle Des Bois Fleurie Vielle Vignes de la Cadole 2021
$25.00Add to cartFrom the heart of Beaujolais comes a delightful gamay. In the vineyards they the principles of lutte raisonnée and minimal intervention in the cellar—spontaneous fermentation, semi-carbonic maceration in cement vats, and aging in 50-year-old wooden casks—produced Beaujolais of vivid fruit, terrific freshness, and structure enough to develop well in bottle. The resulting wine has a vibrant expression of fresh red fruits, delicate tannins, and is very welcoming.
-
Domaine de la Tourmaline Muscadet Sevre et Maine Sur Lie 2023
$18.00Add to cartWhile it’s hard to verify, there’s legend that this vineyard in Navineaux is the first place that Melon de Bourgogne (the grape used to make Muscadet) was found. Regardless, this is a delicious example that’s zesty while still maintaining a core of citrus. The sea salt salinity and deep minerality from the Navineaux soils hold this zippy white together.

Domaine du Bagnol Cassis Rose 2024
$34.00Add to cart“This is a medium-bodied Provençal rose from the coastal village of Cassis. It offers notes of melon and red berries balanced by a nice salinity. I love it on its own or paired with grilled seafood or raw shellfish. I like how it doesn’t taste like all of the generic Provence rosé out there. It is layered enough to impress a group of wine lovers but quaffable enough for a warm-weather picnic.”
