After running one of the Piedmont’s most respected wineries (see the last names), the family decided to focus on an artisanal expression of what the Piedmont can provide.
This is a focused and interesting Barbera with a core of pretty dark fruits and good tension. Luca is an incredible winemaker and we look forward to seeing how all of his wines develop.

The grapes for this Kerner grow at an altitude of almost 900m above sea level in one of the highest vineyards in South Tyrol. This German grape is a cross between Trollinger and Riesling and is named after the Swabian poet Justinus Kerner. It’s got great acidity, a vibrant freshness, and rich lemon, peach, and mango flavors.

This wine is 100% Garnacha Blanca, honoring the ancestral home of the grape. This wine is incredibly small in production coming from a single vineyard wiht 60+ year old vines; they only produce 300 cases each year. It’s vibrant with mineral driven citrus and orchard fruit offset by honeysuckle, ginger, and quinine. A touch of bitterness on the palate plays alongside the smoky minerality before a long finish with lingering white flowers. Pair with risottos, fatty fish, or white meats.

While the Tigny family has owned this 17th century chateau since the 1930s it was the addition of cellar master Jean-Philippe Louis that they really stepped up their game, converting the estate to biodynamics, hand picking, and allowing for spontaneous fermentation.
The vines that plunge the deepest into the tuffeau soils of the vineyards range from 50 to 80 years of age. Despite the concentration and structure a sense of freshness permeates this wine—making it “très digeste”. Graceful tannins and an assertive underlying minerality contribute a salty-savory edge to the fruit.
