Alois Caiati Palagrello Bianco 2023
$31.00Add to cartThe Alois family has roots in the Italian silk business dating back to the Kingdom of Two Sicilies. In the 1990s family patriarch Michele decided to break with the family tradition of supplying silks to the crowned heads of Europe as well as the Louvre Museum and the White House to embark on a new adventure, restoring forgotten varietals and vinifying them.
Today he an his sons work 20 acres in the foothills of the Caiatini Mountains in the province of Caserta, where they make notable examples of Campanian grapes like Falanghina, Fiano and Greco and of course its stately noble red Aglianico, but what really sets Alois apart is their focus on reviving ancient varieties nearly lost to phylloxera, specifically Casavecchia, Palagrello Bianco, and Palagrello Nero.

Ca’ Lojera Lugana 2023
$30.00Add to cartCa’Lojera translates from the local dialect to “House of the Wolf” and is the family seat of the vignerons. Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur Meursault 2021
$99.00Add to cartBen and I were lucky enough to attend a tasting of the Bitouzet-Prieur portfolio with Neal Rosenthal who was hosting Vincent Bitouzet who was on his first trip to the US. Some special bottles were opened including a stellar birth year bottle directly from Neal’s cellar.
What we love about these wines is that they are so thoughtful. Wines to sit down with and really enjoy.

Les Corbins is located north of the village of Meursault on the way to Volnay, just underneath the premier cru Les Plures. The 3+ decade old vines come from family holdings and the grapes are aged for 16 months in 20% new barrels. Call it a textbook Meursault where intense minerality is combined with a subtle texture and buttercream note, and plenty of acid-driven tension as per the Bitouzet house style.

La Rivolta Fiano 2022
$28.00Add to cartIn antiquity, the Fiano grape was known as apiana, as its sweet berries were attractive to bees. Vines were traditionally found near hazelnut orchards, which has seemingly influenced the grape’s flavor profile. However, it is in the town of Avellino where the Fiano grape produces its most mineral-driven wines with long aging potential.
The Cotroneo family has embraced a sustainable approach to viticulture, and the beautiful organic vineyards of Fattoria La Rivolta are nestled among the picturesque and mountainous landscapes of Campania’s Taburno DOC, one of the smallest in Sicily. The wines they produce are delicious.
This is a beautifully delicate wine, with hints of fresh fruit, almond, hazelnut, citrus fruits, herbs, white flowers, and dried flowers. On the palate, this is a full-bodied wine with light fruit and floral notes.

St. Supery Sauvignon Blanc Dollarhide Estate Vineyard 2021
$44.00Add to cartSt. Supery is a 100% estate grown, sustainably farmed winery with over 1,600 acres of land (two thirds are left in their natural state to encourage biodiversity). They are water and energy efficient and have built in pest management. With land preservation as a top priority it’s no surprise that their wines taste alive. This sauvignon blanc wine is full of grapefruit, kiwi, and vanilla aromas that dance over lively acidity. It is a hefty wine that maintains some lightness with the acid. We’d call it crisp, rich, and flavorful.
