Azores Arinto Dos Acores Blanco 2022
$63.00Add to cartThis is a fascinating wine that comes from the far flung Azore islands in the middle of the Atlantic. hailing from Pico island from about 200 acres of very low-yield vineyards surrounded by small walls, locally known as currias, growing in pure volcanic basalt with no top soils. It’s cold and we and the vines struggle for sunlight between the unforgiving wind and driving rain. The fact that this wine exists is a bit of a miracle. This wine is made with 100% Arinto dos Açores and is a unique varietal that has adapted to the harsh conditions and expresses an incredible mineral depth girded by salinity that farm the bright grapefruit and underripe stone fruit flavors.

La Rivolta Fiano 2022
$28.00Add to cartIn antiquity, the Fiano grape was known as apiana, as its sweet berries were attractive to bees. Vines were traditionally found near hazelnut orchards, which has seemingly influenced the grape’s flavor profile. However, it is in the town of Avellino where the Fiano grape produces its most mineral-driven wines with long aging potential.
The Cotroneo family has embraced a sustainable approach to viticulture, and the beautiful organic vineyards of Fattoria La Rivolta are nestled among the picturesque and mountainous landscapes of Campania’s Taburno DOC, one of the smallest in Sicily. The wines they produce are delicious.
This is a beautifully delicate wine, with hints of fresh fruit, almond, hazelnut, citrus fruits, herbs, white flowers, and dried flowers. On the palate, this is a full-bodied wine with light fruit and floral notes.

Michele Alois Caulino Falanghina 2023
$25.00Add to cartThe Alois family has roots in the Italian silk business dating back to the Kingdom of Two Sicilies. In the 1990s family patriarch Michele decided to break with the family tradition of supplying silks to the crowned heads of Europe as well as the Louvre Museum and the White House to embark on a new adventure, restoring forgotten varietals and vinifying them.
Today he an his sons work 20 acres in the foothills of the Caiatini Mountains in the province of Caserta, where they make notable examples of Campanian grapes like Falanghina, Fiano and Greco and of course its stately noble red Aglianico, but what really sets Alois apart is their focus on reviving ancient varieties nearly lost to phylloxera, specifically Casavecchia, Palagrello Bianco, and Palagrello Nero.

They are water and energy efficient and have built in pest management. With land preservation as a top priority it’s no surprise that their wines taste alive. This sauvignon blanc wine is full of grapefruit, kiwi, and vanilla aromas that dance over lively acidity. It is a hefty wine that maintains some lightness with the acid.
