Bodegas Rezabal Txakoli Rose 2022
$22.00Add to cartWhat wine could scream breezy summer evening more than a Txakoli rose?
It’s spritzy, fresh, and easy to drink. Perfect for chilling and having as an aperitif, but it also has great acid that cleans your palate.
One of the best things about the wine is its salinity, which makes it a natural companion to grilled seafood brushed with olive oil. Try it with prawns, whole fish stuffed with herbs, or a little fritto misto.

Domaine Clau de Nell Chenin Blanc 2021
$100.00Add to cartAnne-Claude Leflaive of Burgundy’s eponymous Domaine Leflaive set out on a mission to help vignerons (farmers of vines) learn to care for their land in ways that were not only sustainable, but which would allow all of the plants and insects to thrive together through organic farming, She branched out from Burgundy and across France. In the Loire Valley she stumbled on an estate with old vines, excellent position. Sadly it had not been farmed for years, and so she and her husband bought the property in order demonstrate the power of biodynamic farming and the Burgundian touch of wine making. As The New York Times’ Eric Asimov points out about Anne-Claude, “Her passion was the land, and over time she came to believe that nothing was as important to making great wine as a commitment to environmentalism and a proper, respectful stewardship of the vineyards.” This was the birth of Clau de Nell.
They make 2 reds and white. It is the white Chenin Blanc that we have fallen in love with. It is an age worthy white, and texturally can challenge some of the greatest white burgundies combining minerality hidden beneath a silk, round texture of fruit and sneaky spike of acidity that makes your mouth water. This wine if you open now deserves a little air and the fruit will blossom with subtle white peach, slightly under-ripe apricot notes, with some jasmine tea freshness. But most of all this wine is about texture, and layers of complexity.
Details:
Vineyard: about 5 acres of chenin are planted, vines about 10 years old. Soils of Silt-Clay on loose limestone. Biodynamically farmed.
Vinification: Gentle pressing, native yeast fermentations, 12 months in used Burgundy barrels aging in range from 1 to 5 uses. The wine is then moved into stainless steel for 6 months before being bottled.
Aging potential: 10- 15 years.

Domaine du Bagnol Cassis Rose 2023
$34.00Add to cart“This is a medium-bodied Provençal rose from the coastal village of Cassis. It offers notes of melon and red berries balanced by a nice salinity. I love it on its own or paired with grilled seafood or raw shellfish. I like how it doesn’t taste like all of the generic Provence rosé out there. It is layered enough to impress a group of wine lovers but quaffable enough for a warm-weather picnic.”

Macari Vineyards Chardonnay Estate Bottled 2022
$25.00Add to cart“I’ve worked with Macari wines for 20 years. A Long Island Family that has worked hard to establish their winery as an integral part of the New York Wine scene. During the pandemic, I saw lots of small businesses ask customers to support local, but they had no local wines on offer. We will always be proud to serve the best of Long Island and the Finger Lakes in New York City, and Macari is among the best of them. This Chardonnay is oaked, medium bodied, but not to be confused with Chards from California, Oregon, or France. It’s New York state Chardonnay that is more nutty than creamy, with delicious soft yellow fruits.” – David

Pasini San Giovanni Chiaretto 2022
$28.00Add to cartAs it’s springtime in Verona (and starting to warm up in New York) no bundle would be complete without a fresh organic rosé. This mostly Groppello wine is perfect for the weather. It has gorgeous citrus, berry, yeasty biscuit dough, and white flower aromas that dance out of the glass. Aging on the lees and blending in the dark-skinned Marzemino, Barbera, and Sangiovese give this rosé an unexpected heft and complexity that we love.

Rowan’s Creek Bourbon Whiskey 750ml
$53.00Add to cart“My staff pick is the Rowan’s Creek Kentucky Bourbon, produced by the Willet Distillery. I enjoy the robust caramel and vanilla notes with a distinctive floral undertone that adds depth to the flavor. This small batch of bourbon was initially aged with a 12-year statement but now is produced without an age declaration. Despite its 100.1 proof, the bourbon has a smoothness that makes it somewhat versatile. I recently paired the bourbon with pulled pork, and the rich fattiness brilliantly complemented the sweetness of the spirit.” – Steve

The Project “Clove Hitch” Cabernet Sauvignon
$21.00Add to cartA Community Wine and Spirits exclusive!
This delicious and juicy Cabernet is from Horse Heaven Hills, Washington, and is full of dark berry flavors that mix with a delicate spice. It’s firm and fleshy without being syrupy and oaked without being oaky. An incredibly balanced palate plays off of the more subtle notes milk chocolate, orange peels, and violets.
A stellar wine at a steal of a price.
