Some of the earliest Pinot growers in New Zealand, Southern Lines, have been making great terroir-driven wines since the 1980s. This wine is from Otago, in the southern part of the South Island, where the wines are vibrant, structured, and have a distinct minerality. This wine is sweetly ripe with big flavors of dark cherry and spice, but herbs and nuts provide a savory counterbalance to the fruit. It’s supple, easy to drink, and will be best paired with food.
