Chave is a consummate storyteller, but he is particualrly bullish about this vintage of whites in how strongly they show the terroir. Some of Chave’s oldest vines are here and bring in beautiful grapes from Hermitage hill. This is the glory that Marsanne can bring when treated by a master. It will rival some of the great white burgundies when drank young or with 10+ years of age.
