The Rhône Valley has an abundance of riches when it comes to wine: wild violet-scented Northern Rhône Syrah (occasionally blended with white Marsanne, Rousanne, or Viognier grapes), heady, thought-provoking whites that perfectly pair with dinner, and the rich reds of the southern Rhône, where Grenache reaches its highest peak and winemakers have a painter’s palette of Syrah, Mourvédre, Cinsault, and Carignan (among many others!) to blend into masterpieces.
