This wine is made in the old way, and probably way older than you are thinking. In a time before barrels winemakers in Georgia worked fermenting their wines in clay pots lined with beeswax. This Saperavi is deep, dark, and brooding and gets all its delightful texture from that clay qvevri. If you’ve never had a wine like this, this is a great one to start you off on a delicious journey!
