Tasting on Purpose: A Wine Education Experience with Vanessa Leong

Many people assume that understanding wine is a matter of knowing more - about grapes, regions, vintages, etc. It isn't. It's a matter of noticing better.

Tasting On Purpose is a guided wine class built on this premise. We start with the fundamentals: sweetness, acidity, tannin, and body; each tasted in isolation before a bottle is opened. From there, we'll taste four wines — two whites, two reds — chosen to illuminate the spectrum of flavor families and the wine tasting building blocks. First-time tasters and seasoned collectors alike leave with a sharper palate and the language to describe exactly what they want in the next bottle.
