Montes Alpha Merlot is crafted from carefully selected grapes grown in the Colchagua Valley, where the vineyards are farmed with a strong focus on sustainability and precision. Using a specialized Water Saving Winegrowing approach developed by Aurelio Montes and his team, irrigation is carefully managed based on the vines’ exact needs after winter rains—especially in drier years. This method has significantly reduced water use while enhancing grape quality, resulting in a Merlot that is rich, expressive, and thoughtfully produced with both flavor and environmental care in mind.
