Deep plum and nearly opaque in the glass. The nose is expressive and inviting, with plenty of dark fruit—black plum and dark cherry—along with violet, wild herbs, licorice and anise. There are also hints of cedar, vanilla and dark chocolate, with a touch of spice and warmth.

On the palate, the wine is dry, rich and generous, with supple tannins and enough acidity to keep everything balanced. Dark plum and cherry come through again, layered with cedar, licorice, spice and a distinct stony, earthy minerality. The alcohol is noticeable but works with the wine’s concentration and structure.

The finish is long and persistent, with dark fruit, spice and earthy mineral notes lingering nicely. A powerful, concentrated wine, but with enough finesse to keep it from feeling heavy.
