Domaine des Ardoisières, located in the Vallée des Bauges of the French Alps, was founded in 1998 and has become a benchmark Savoie estate under the care of winemaker Brice Omont since 2005.
Today, Ardoisières farms approximately 12 hectares across premier sites in Cevins, Saint-Pierre-de-Soucy, and the steep Arbin hillside. The estate produces wines using Savoie's unique varieties, including Altesse, Jacquère, Roussanne (Bergeron), Mondeuse Noire, Chardonnay, Gamay, and the rare Mondeuse Blanche and Persan. The estate has employed biodynamic principles in the vineyard since planting.
All wines are fermented with native yeasts and bottled with light filtration. No sulfur is used during vinification and the additions at bottling are just enough to bring stability to the wine before shipping.
This is a blend of Jacquere, Roussanee, Chardonnay, Altesse and Mondeuse Blanche, aged for nine months in a combination of used oak and concrete.
