Christina Kuhlbar Chillable Red 2024

Christina Netzl, grew up on the mixed family-run farm owned by her parents and grandparents, cultivating different grains, corn, sugar beets, breeding pigs and growing some vines. Lending a hand almost everywhere on the farm, she fell in love with wine production. The Zweigelt grapes for this bottling are estate-owned and farmed by Christina’s family, certified organic. Here, the warm pannonian climate in combination with the cool winds from the River Danube provide ideal conditions for this elegant variety to ripen while keeping their hallmark acidity. Grapes are hand-picked and then divided, with 60% direct pressed and fermented as juice and the other 40% crushed before fermentation with a short 4-day maceration. Malolactic fermentation occurs. Aged 6 months in stainless steel.
