Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery is a premier winery, cidery, distillery, and pick-your-own apple orchard set across 120+ acres of manicured grounds. Home to New York’s Original Cider, Doc’s Cider, they also produce award-winning wines, craft spirits, and handcrafted cocktails.
They started growing apple trees in 1990 and today have diverse orchards with over 65 heirloom and modern apple varieties. Their line of cider was created in 1994, making them the oldest cidery in New York State. They made and sold cider from real fruit decades before there was a craft cider industry. Today, their cider is distributed in 28 states and 3 countries.
In 2001, they helped kick off the craft spirits movement through applying and receiving a grant to become the 1st craft distillery in NYS since prohibition. They started by making fruit brandies, liqueurs, and cordials under the name, American Fruits. In 2012, they built the largest craft distillery on the east coast, Black Dirt Distillery.
