Tito's

A Texas Producer Focusing On Smooth, Straightforward Vodka

Distilled and bottled in Austin, Texas since the mid-nineties, Tito’s comes in a standard bottle, with a simple paper label, so all you pay for is the high-quality vodka inside.

A self-taught distiller, founder Bert “Tito” Beveridge relied on prohibition-era images of pot stills and lore from the oil fields he worked on to figure out the method for vodka distillation. In 1995, they built Texas’ first legal, operating distillery on twelve acres of land in Southeast Austin, setting their sights on a vodka “so smooth, you can drink it straight.” After trying all kinds of bases, they settled on corn because of the soft, rounded shoulders and smooth, crisp finish it gave. In 1997, after taste-testing, reworking, taste-testing again, and repeating that process too many times to count, they perfected their recipe and sold the very first case of Tito's Handmade Vodka.

Tito’s uses old-fashioned pot stills and taste-tests every batch, mimicking the process used to make fine single malt scotches and high-end French cognacs. Tito's is six-times distilled, 'til it's just right, and naturally gluten-free, making it a high-quality spirit that mixes with just about anything—from the smoothest martinis to the best Bloody Marys.
