Sorelli

Generations of Winemaking Across Tuscany’s Historic Vineyards

Since its early beginnings in 1900, Cantina Sorelli has specialized in the production of Tuscan wines with the authentic passion of a winery always dedicated to wine. Great-grandfather Angiolo, originally a farming "broker”, made the decision to specialize in wine distribution. His son, Gesualdo, joined him in this venture and ever since, the Sorelli family's holdings and expertise in the world of wine has been passed down from one generation to the next.

Roberto and Libero, Gesualdo's sons, took on the family business with enthusiasm and in the 1990s, they obtained the historic vineyards of Castello Uzzano located in Greve, the heart and capital of Chianti Classico and Fattoria Petriolo which has been producing wine since the 19th century. Most recently the Sorellis acquired Azienda Agricola Belsedere, a property set in the Orcia production area that produced its first vintage in 2006 from 15 hectares of recently planted vineyards. The close ties with these lands and their passionate pursuit of providing excellent wines have made Cantina Sorelli an established presence in the Italian and international wine scene.
