As a négociant that focuses on forging durable relationships with some of the best winegrowers on the Côte de Beaune, Olivier Leflaive Frères bottles exemplary AC regional, village, Premiers Crus and Grands Crus. Everything started in 1984 when Olivier created a winemaking business in his own name. His idea, unique in Burgundy, was to buy in grapes and must, vinify and age them, then sell them en primeur, or before bottling.
Olivier Leflaive now owns 26 hectares representing 82 Climats, mainly in the Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet appellations. All vineyards have been awarded High Environmental Value certification at level 3 for their respectful practices and vineyard management. The soil is worked very carefully, in particular by ploughing and mechanical weeding, while the vines are trimmed at appropriate heights and pruned in a way that respects the flow of sap.
