Located in the heart of Schiedam, Holland, the Nolet Distillery has been owned by the Nolet family right from its establishment in 1691. The distillery is therefore one of the oldest family businesses in the Netherlands. It already goes back eleven generations! Their mission is to create the best spirits using sustainable and socially responsible production methods and delivering constant, superior quality.

Ketel One Vodka was born out of the ambition to create the perfect martini. A perfect martini needs a superior quality vodka so in 1983, Carolus Nolet Sr. set off on a mission to make just that. Drawing on his great, great grandfather’s tasting notes formed over 330 years of family distilling expertise, Carolus soon discovered the perfect recipe using carefully selected European grain and a combination of modern and traditional distilling techniques. Ketel One Vodka was the result, unique for its smooth taste and fresh bite.

Every bottle of Ketel One Vodka is made in Schiedam, Holland, and every bottle is graced with their family crest, a seal of authenticity and a guarantee of quality. To guarantee the quality of the liquid, every batch of Ketel One Vodka is approved and signed off – quite literally – by a Nolet family member. Currently, their bottle displays the signature of Carl Senior, a 10th generation Nolet.
