In the heart of Etna’s northern slope, Graci was founded in 2005 with a clear idea: to produce wines that are an authentic expression of a place unlike any other in the world. A living territory in constant transformation, where viticulture is an integral part of the landscape, the history, and the culture.
The vineyards lie on the northern slope of Etna, between 600 and 1,000 metres in altitude, in some of the mountain’s most prized contrade (crus). Here, on young and complex volcanic soils, they grow Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, varieties capable of precisely translating the identity of the different terroirs. They grow exclusively indigenous Etna grape varieties, with respect for the land, for tradition, and for the distinctive character of each vintage. Graci follows a minimalist approach in both viticulture and winemaking, keeping interventions to a minimum in the vineyard and in the cellar in order to preserve the authentic expression of the grapes.
Their work is dedicated to bringing out the identity of each individual vineyard, respecting the differences that every harvest expresses and translating them into wines that remain true to their place of origin.
