Camille Giroud

A Century-Old Beaune Domaine

In 1865, Camille Giroud took over a small family-owned wine trade firm which he renamed Maison Giroud Deschamps. In 1903, the Maison officially took the name Camille Giroud.

Located in Beaune, 1.13 hectares of this domaine are vines owned by the Maison. Most of the production is from purchased grapes. Primarily producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the viticulture is sustainable and organic.

All wines are double-sorted on a vibrating table and a sorting table. The whites are pressed with whole clusters, cold settled while the reds are entirely or partially de-stemmed. Minimal SO2 is added. They are aged for 12-24 months with ambient yeast fermentation, rarely stirred. No fining and gentle filtration if necessary.
