Albert Mann

Biodynamic Grand Crus Across Alsace

One of only eight 3-star rated domaines in Alsace by Revue du Vin de France, which also awarded the estate Winemakers of the Year of France in 2012, each year The Wine Advocate and Vinous place the wines of Domaine Albert Mann in the top tier of Alsace producers. The Domaine Albert Mann is the union of two families, Mann and Barthelmé, both lines of vignerons which date back to the 17th century. They have been cultivating all of Alsace’s noble grape varieties across 25 hectares and seven Grands Crus. Each small vineyard parcel is a true island of geological diversity, allowing every wine to express its own distinct personality.

Certified organic and practicing biodynamic viticulture for over 30 years, this approach has long been a natural choice for the estate. The domaine has grown in reputation to be considered one of the greatest in Alsace, and indeed all of France, particularly for their extraordinary Pinot Noirs.

With meticulously controlled yields, the family seeks grapes of perfect ripeness and depth. From Riesling to Gewürztraminer, through their expressive Grands Crus and refined Sélections de Grains Nobles, the wines consistently display purity, balance, and precision, never heavy, always vibrant and full of life.
