Is Ridge the best American producer? Maybe, the Montebello is a truly transcendent bottle of wine.The Three Valleys bottling is the perfect intro to Zinfandel. It’s big and plummy and generous. It’s a fun, full-bodied bottle that showcases what Zin can be in the right hands.This is a perfect choice if you are happy with the warmer weather but still want something dark and even a little brooding. It’s like curling up with a good crime drama. I’d recommend pairing it with Elaine May’s Mikey & Nicky.
