The grapes, Parellada, Macabeo, Xarel-lo, Chardonnay, and Malvasia de Sitges are planted at the growing limits high in the Spanish region of Penedes. The wine is quite austere, tight, and mineral driven. Though it comes in at just 12% alcohol it carries quite a bit of power and benefits from a lot of air which eventually yields exotic fruits, and softer texture.
