Scarbolo Pinot Grigio Mepari 2023

Scarbolo is a 3rd generation organic producer practicing traditional Friulian winemaking.

Meaning “my father” in Friulian dialect, “Mepari” is sourced from Scarbolo’s oldest Pinot Grigio—a low-yielding 1.4-hectare parcel in the easternmost section of the limestone-heavy Pozzut vineyard in Lauzacco with vines a minimum of 27 years old. Fermentation began in stainless steel via pied de cuve and finished in 20-hectoliter Slavonian oak cask with spillover into three smaller barrels.
