RouteStock is an invitation to discover the deep roots of winemaking in Napa and Sonoma, planted firmly at each step of your journey through our vineyard sites. An endeavor of enduring Napabased importer Wilson Daniels, RouteStock is established as a product that consistently over-delivers in quality at a very attractive price point. WINE With fruit sourced from top vineyards across Coombsville, St. Helena, Mount Veeder, and Rutherford, this wine showcases the region’s depth and diversity. With a commitment to minimal intervention and a focus on showcasing the natural character of the grapes, this wine is a true representation of Napa’s fine winemaking heritage.
Our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon comes from four top vineyards across the region—Coombsville, St. Helena, Mount Veeder, and Rutherford—offering a bright, complex blend. Small amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot add depth and balance.
After the challenges of recent years—devastating fires in 2020, severe drought in 2021, and extreme heat in 2022— the 2023 vintage felt like a welcome relief. A wet winter set the stage for a healthy crop, with extended rainfall and cooler temperatures delaying budbreak and bloom by nearly a month compared to 2022. The growing season stayed mild, with temperatures in the 80s to low 90s, and harvest arrived later than usual under calm, ideal conditions.
RouteStock’s winemaking embraces minimal intervention, using native yeasts and natural fermentation to highlight each vineyard’s character. Free of chemical additives, the wines reflect the true essence of California’s wine country. TASTING NOTES Deep in color, this Napa Valley Cabernet opens with bold aromas of graphite, tobacco, blackberry cream, and wet stone. The palate is rich and supple, offering notes of flint, licorice, and ripe blackberry. Balanced acidity, firm tannins, and a long, polished finish make this a classic and complete expression of Napa Cabernet.
