DeLille Cellars Chaleur Blanc Columbia Valley 2023

When you are in the mood for a weighty wine that isn't chardonnay, this is fantastically interesting wine made of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon-- an ode to Bordeaux Blanc but with a distinct Pacific Northwest angle. It's fascinating how the wine hits your palate with rich brioche and weigh from the semillon but then is held in check as the brighter sauvignon blanc cuts through the wine with green apple and lemon grass and leaves a very long finish on the palate. We've also found older vintages of this wine to be terrific. Drink it right away or get around to it in 7 or 8 years. 

Great with Scallops or French or Peruvian Roast Chicken. 

69% Sauvignon Blanc and 31% Semillon. 
100% barrel aged in French oak
42% of the oak is new.
