Sanzon Classic Furmint 2023

Sanzon Tokaj is a small boutique winery in the village of Erdőbénye, in the heart of Tokaj. The winery was founded by Erika Rácz in 2014, on a small parcel of 0.3 hectares that she inherited from her parents. 

Today, the winery is comprised of 5 vineyard sites, with Erika as the winemaker. Erika was born and raised in Tokaj, and she strives to let the richness of the region’s unique terroir shine through in her low-intervention winemaking. 

the Classic Furmint is truly emblematic of a dry Tokaji Furmint. Supple yet taut, with minerals and lemonheads on the nose. Green apple, ginger cake and salt flavors dominate on the palate. Great balance of fruit and minerals, with the long acidic finish Tokaji wines are famous for.

Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, and aged for 12 months on the lees in 500 L used Hungarian oak barrels. Certified organic, low sulfites added at bottling. 2200 bottles produced.
