In the 20th century, alongside Baron le Roy, Henry Tacussel was one of the founders of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The current estate, founded in 1976 by Annette Tacussel and her husband Robert Moulin, is passed down to their three daughters.
70% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 10% Cunoise and Cinsault, Muscardin and Vaccarèse.
The dominant soil is clay-limestone and galets roulés in ‘Grande Pierre’ and the neighboring sites. The vines are an average of 40 years old. The vines are from 8 parcels to totaling 6.5 hecatares. Roughly 2,200 cases produced.
The grapes are left whole cluster and co-fermented in concrete tanks with daily rémontage, and délestage. Puchdowns are performed as needed. The wines is aged in barriques and demi-muids for 12-18 months before bottling.
