This is not the Malbec you probably know. You may not know that until it was popularized by the Argentinians, no one really knew the grape, and in fact most of the vines in Cahors, France were being ripped out. But as its international fame grew a few producers took a look at what they had and decided they could sell make wine with these grapes. We are thankful because this is a delicious, earthier expression that we really enjoy.
