On September 18th, we will mark our 1st anniversary. Getting open was certainly a wild ride, but being open has been nothing short of pure joy. I’ve been asked a lot over the summer if Community Wine and Spirits is everything I wanted it to be. I always pause in wonderment before answering, “Yes, it actually is.” The truth, though, is it has turned into so much more than I expected.
I’m really lucky to have the staff we have. They don’t just show up to work; they love the store, care for it, and nurture its growth. What drives workers to love their jobs? At the top of the list are our customers. We truly love making you happy. We very obviously could not be here without you; you make it fun for us to show up to work each day. Thank you for all your support. Thank you for helping us build something much more than a liquor store. Thank you for inviting us into your neighborhood and allowing us to participate in your lives and celebrations.
