Paolo Bea Cerrete 2017

Paolo Bea is a singular winemaker who commands an amazing amount of respect from wine drinkers who bristled at the hyper-modernization that was happening around the world in the 90s and 2000s. His wines are deeply traditional. This wine comes from the vineyards at the highest altitude in Montefalco, and the resulting wine is intense in nearly every aspect. Despite being so intense it still has a beautiful lift and will get better and better with age.
